What is Jam Sandwich?

Jam Sandwich is a “deliciously lively” children’s entertainment company which provides wonderful magical musical performances for kids of all ages. Our performance involves lots of audience participation including traditional, popular and original tunes. The audience becomes totally involved as they find themselves on stage as part of the show. Each show can be tailor made to suit your group’s needs.

Performances include visits from a wacky characters who will tickle your funny bone and fill your hands with laughter. Some of the characters you may meet when you book a show are Jam, Peanut Butter, Jelly and Michou the Magician.

a CDThe company Jam Sandwich has entertained those young at heart since 1994. In 1997 Mary Lambert and Ellen Yeo produced their first Jam Sandwich release "Full of Baloney". Their second collaborative release "Play On" was nominated Canadian Children’s Album of the Year at that Juno Awards 2000. Their latest release of 2003 is called Full Of Baloney. This is chock full of songs about many of their wacky sandwich family.

You will find this popular group performing in the summertime at many different resorts in Muskoka. They also perform at festivals, schools and events throughout Ontario. Some of their more memorable appearances appearances include the Canadian Tulip Festival, Mariposa Muskoka, the Streetsville Bread And Honey festival, The Peach Festival, Muskoka’s Santa’s Village, Bon Soo Winter Carnival, Gravenhurst Opera House, and Kingston Buskers Rendezvous. Ellen Yeo (AKA Jam) is a Canadian songwriter/performer with a background that includes teaching theater, arts, music and phys-ed. She has two children and resides in Bracebridge, Ontario. Ellen also tours promoting a senior’s show called "Memory Lane".

Cara Chisholm (AKA Jelly) Cara`s background includes being part of Canada’s original cast of "Les Miserables" playing several roles including "Cossette". She to word North America in the company of "Phantom Of The Opera". You may have seen her in the Disney musical revue, "The Little Mermaid" as Ariel in England. Cara enjoys her young family including her daughter Lauren and son, Luke.

Mary Lambert (AKA Peanut Butter) is a Canadian singer/songwriter/performer and a mother of four. She currently resides in Kingston, Ontario and has released five solo children’s recordings and one live concert music video. Libby Olsen (AKA "Hunny"(Honey)) Libby and `Peanut Butter`are real life sisters! Libby has provided and recorded vocals on all three of mary’s children’s albums. Her background also includes teaching primary music to children ranging in ages from 18 months to 11 years. She has two small children of her own and resides in Barrie, Ontario.

Micheline Roy-Sullivan (AKA Michou) is an elementary school principal who enjoys providing children of all ages a `wee`bit of magic. Michou - a bilingual magician has two children.

Jenny Dennis (AKA Philadelphia Cream Cheese up to Philly) is a Muskoka native who has adorned local stages for the past 10 years. Jan performed scenes from "My Dock" in 2001 at the Gravenhurst Opera House and has had various roles from opera to Dinner Theater.
